A furious tenant who sprayed offensive comments, such as ‘racist’, ‘Arab’ and ‘no means no’, across her landlord’s car after she was evicted from her home, will finally be sentenced next month.
Southwark Crown Court was told how Dalina Pop, 34, had been sharing a flat with her landlord, Ovace Miller, in west London, until she was asked to leave the property in August 2015.
Miller left his BMW 6 series parked outside in the street and the next morning discovered it had been vandalised, leaving him with a £17,000 bill to have it resprayed white.
Pop, who now lives in West Hampstead, north west London, voluntarily presented herself at Charing Cross Police Station four days after the incident and appeared at Southwark Crown Court earlier this year where she was cleared of a serious charge of racially aggravated criminal damage.
But she did admit criminal damage. Sentencing was adjourned until November 20 to allow the theatre student to return to university in New York.
