The latest updates affecting the work of local landlords, letting agents and property managers, plus a chance to network and catch up after lockdown, will be on offer at a council-run forum.
Gravesham’s Landlords’ Forum, which is free to attend, has the support of the National Landlords Association, will include expert speakers covering subjects such as Universal Credit, fire risk assessments, environmental health updates, and the current situation regarding court proceedings and possessions.
Councillor Jenny Wallace says: “As a council we are mindful of the need to work closely with private sector landlords and this forum is an excellent opportunity to build on existing relationships.
“Only by public and private sector working together and understanding the challenges we all face will we be able to provide safe and secure homes for the many families in our Borough so desperately in need of them.
“After lockdown, our Landlords’ Forum is a great opportunity for all those in the sector to be updated on changes in legislation and guidance over the last 18 months, and to catch up with colleagues and old friends to exchange experiences and advice.”
The forum takes place at the Eastgate Centre, Springhead Park, Northfleet, on Wednesday September 8 from 9.30am to 2pm.
