Short Lets Bonanza - high end units in demand in London

A property management company is forecasting that Prime Central London’s short-lets summer is set to be record breaking.

Glenfield Property Management says super-rich internationals are seeking what it calls ‘uber-lets’ at prices up to £35,000 a week.

“The number of super-rich renters seeking short term lets for summer has never seemed greater, we are experiencing a 25 per cent increase, and they are all looking for luxe listings in the region of over £10,000 a week” says Glenfield’s Yasmin Ulhaq.

“London is this summer’s hot ticket for the super-rich seeking shorter summer lets – loved by the international jet set for its culture, shopping, green spaces and proximity to Europe, with a lot of them using London as a base as they hop over to Monaco and Mikonos for weekends.”

She says exclusive neighbourhoods such as Belgravia, Mayfair and Knightsbridge are popular, along with Hampstead and St Johns Wood. US, UAE and more general Middle East tenants are the main high-end business.
